Major Changes to Train Routes and Timings in Pune Due to Mega Block

Pune, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : A major update for train passengers in Pune has emerged as the Central Railway announces significant changes in train operations due to a mega block for the commissioning of the Hadapsar-Ghorpadi third rail line. The extensive pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking block will be in effect from September 19 to October 4.

During this period, several trains will operate on altered routes, with some services partially canceled and others experiencing changes in departure times. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys according to the revised schedule.

For instance, Train 12221 Pune-Hawra Express will run on a new route via Lonavala, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan, Igatpuri, and Manmad on September 19 and October 3. Similarly, Train 12222 Hawra-Pune Express will take the same route on October 3, with stops at Daund Cord Line canceled for both services.

Train 11078 Jammu-Tawi-Pune Express will arrive in Pune on September 21 via Manmad, Igatpuri, Kalyan, Panvel, Karjat, and Lonavala, while stops at Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, Daund Cord Line, and Uruli will not be available.

On September 22, Train 11302 Bengaluru-Mumbai Express will operate through Solapur, Kurduwadi, Miraj, Satara, and Pune, skipping stops at Daund and Uruli. The Mumbai-Chennai Express will run from Kalyan, Igatpuri, Manmad, and Daund between September 19 and 23, and on October 4, with scheduled stops at Karjat, Lonavala, Khadki, Pune, and Daund canceled.

Additionally, changes have been made to the routes of other trains, including the Nizamuddin-Vasco Express, Pune-Jammu Tawi Express, Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Express, Pune-Nagpur Express, and Pune-Banaras Express on specified dates.

Train 11028 Satara-Dadar Express will depart from Satara at 10:30 PM instead of the scheduled 3:30 PM on October 3, resulting in a seven-hour delay. This will affect numerous stations along the route, including Koregaon, Masur, Karad, and others.

The Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Hadapsar TOD Special will only operate to Daund on September 23 and 30, while the return service will start from Daund instead of Hadapsar on September 24 and October 1.

Due to the mega block, five trains will also experience regulated operations. The SMVB-LTT Express will be delayed by two hours on October 3, while other trains may face similar adjustments as needed.

Several trains will see significant changes in their departure times. For example, Train 11431 Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express will leave at 5 PM instead of 3:25 PM on September 19 and at 4 PM on October 3. Train 01923 Hadapsar-Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi TOD Special will now depart at 9:40 PM on September 20 and October 4, instead of 7:10 PM.

Passengers are urged to check the current status of their trains and the revised timetable before starting their journeys. The railway administration emphasizes that this infrastructure work is essential for enhancing future rail operations in the Pune division, making them safer, faster, and more efficient.
