Lucknow, September 2: The Uttar Pradesh government has entered a state of alert due to an increase in viral fever and swine flu cases following recent rainfall. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak addressed the growing number of patients in hospitals.
He reassured the public that there is no need for panic regarding the fever. The government is working diligently to manage the situation, ensuring that hospitals are fully stocked with medications and staff.
Pathak urged residents to seek immediate medical attention if they experience symptoms such as cough, fever, or cold. He emphasized the importance of following medical advice and resting adequately.
In Etawah, the district hospital administration has completed preparations for swine flu cases. Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Paritosh Shukla stated that they have received several directives from the government regarding H1N1 swine flu and are adhering to all guidelines.
Dr. Shukla mentioned that a workshop for doctors on awareness and sensitization was conducted on Saturday. All medical staff received training on necessary procedures and available resources.
He added, “We have reserved a ward with six rooms specifically for swine flu patients. Additionally, we have arranged for swine flu vaccines.”
Symptoms will be identified based on clinical presentation, which typically resembles influenza-like illness. Common symptoms include runny nose, fever, sneezing, body aches, and in some cases, difficulty breathing.
