Madhya Pradesh Government Proposes 11 Industrial Parks Under BHAVYA Scheme

Bhopal, August 18: The Madhya Pradesh government announced on Monday that it has proposed the establishment of 11 industrial parks covering over 9,000 acres under the central ‘BHAVYA’ (Bharat Industrial Development Scheme) initiative. The estimated total cost for this project is ₹8,144.35 crores.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presented the proposal during the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) in New Delhi.

According to the government, the proposed industrial parks will span 9,047.08 acres and are planned to be equipped with ‘plug-and-play’ infrastructure, making them ready for investment and facilitating the establishment of industries.

During his presentation, Yadav stated, “The state government is continuously working to develop modern industrial infrastructure, implement investment-friendly policies, and provide industries with ‘plug-and-play’ facilities.”

The proposed projects include the Avantika Industrial Center in Ujjain, Bhensola in Dhar, Piplarwan-Palikalan in Devas-Shajapur, IR Ratlam-Palsodi, the Ashta Industrial Cluster in Sehore, Maswasi Grant in Sagar, Chainpura in Guna, Mohna in Gwalior, Dharmapura in Jabalpur, Simra in Katni, and Shivsagar in Rewa.

The Bhensola project is proposed as a textile park and will be developed as an extension of the PM Mitra Park in Dhar, featuring facilities related to the textile value chain.

Other proposed parks are expected to boost investments in pharmaceuticals, automobiles, renewable energy equipment, semiconductors, IT, and ITS sectors. The government stated that these projects will create direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Madhya Pradesh is also developing facilities to enhance women’s participation in industrial sectors, including daycare centers, CCTV-based security, healthcare facilities, canteens, and hostels.

Yadav emphasized, “Our goal is to establish Madhya Pradesh as a major industrial and investment hub by expanding industrial infrastructure and creating a favorable environment for investors.”

The Chief Minister also highlighted the role of industrial corridors and nodes being developed with the central government’s cooperation in accelerating industrial investment in the state.

The meeting was attended by Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Piyush Goyal, and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Ashok Kumar Lahiri.
