Vadodara, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : Greenply Industries Limited has announced a partnership with Greenline Mobility Solutions Limited, a leading green logistics company focused on eliminating carbon emissions in India’s heavy trucking sector. This collaboration aims to integrate liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation into Greenply’s outbound logistics operations.
The partnership was officially launched with a ceremonial flag-off of Greenline’s LNG-powered trucks from Greenply’s manufacturing facility in Vadodara. This initiative marks a significant step toward developing a more sustainable logistics ecosystem.
Under this agreement, Greenply will leverage Greenline’s green logistics network to transport products from its Vadodara plant to various distribution destinations. This move will facilitate the inclusion of clean transportation solutions in Greenply’s freight operations.
The initiative will introduce alternative fuels into Greenply’s cost-effective and sustainable logistics operations, extending the company’s sustainability focus beyond manufacturing to encompass material transportation and mobility.
This step comes at a time when the relevance of alternative fuels is increasing in India’s commercial transport sector. LNG vehicles can offer lower emissions compared to traditional diesel-based transport, depending on vehicle structure, fuel quality, and operational conditions.
Greenply’s LNG-powered trucks can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40%, sulfur oxides by 100%, nitrogen oxides by 59%, particulate matter by 91%, and carbon monoxide by 70%. This positions them as a cleaner option for India’s long-haul freight sector.
Adopting LNG trucks is part of Greenply’s broader strategy to incorporate responsible business practices throughout its value chain. While manufacturing remains a key focus, the company is also exploring ways to integrate sustainability into logistics and distribution activities.

Greenline is advancing low-emission road freight transport through its growing fleet of LNG and electric heavy commercial trucks in India. The company operates over 1,000 vehicles across major freight corridors, serving various industries, including steel, cement, mining, FMCG, and chemicals. Collectively, its fleet has traveled over 100 million kilometers, helping customers reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 27,000 tons.
The introduction of LNG trucks will also allow Greenply to assess the operational viability of alternative fuel-based transport within its dispatch network. The company will continue to evaluate opportunities for incorporating more responsible mobility solutions into its logistics ecosystem based on operational requirements and experiences gained from this initiative.
As sustainability becomes an increasingly important aspect of the broader supply chain, Greenply’s initiative reflects the growing role of logistics in developing more responsible operational models for businesses.
