
Bhopal, June 3: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is consistently adhering to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for austerity. In a significant move on Wednesday, he became the first chief minister in the country to include an electric vehicle (EV) in his convoy.
The convoy now features an electric car from Mahindra, which claims to travel 500 kilometers on a single charge.
CM Mohan Yadav took a ride in this EV from the Chief Minister’s residence to the State Hangar in the capital. His new car has been assigned the registration number MP 04 VB 2047, symbolizing a developed India, with 2047 representing Prime Minister Modi‘s vision for a prosperous nation. The car is equipped with modern amenities, including a 360-degree camera.
By using this vehicle, CM Yadav aims to promote environmental conservation. It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh is actively working on new initiatives for environmental protection and solar energy. Recently, vultures and crocodiles were released in various locations as part of conservation efforts.
Yadav believes that development is incomplete without environmental protection. He asserts that solar energy can pave the way for new avenues of growth for the nation and the world.
During his tours, CM Mohan Yadav has been mindful of austerity. Recently, he traveled in a tempo traveler bus with local representatives and officials from HR Green to Rajwada in Indore. Prior to that, he used a tourist bus to reach an event site during his visit to Singrauli. Additionally, he has reduced the number of vehicles in his convoy.
