Bhopal, June 12: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that efforts are underway for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state, while ensuring that tribal communities are kept separate from its provisions. Yadav emphasized that the state is making significant progress towards the effective implementation of the UCC. The clear objective is to ensure equal laws and a uniform system for all citizens, thereby strengthening the constitutional principles of justice and equality.
Regarding the status of tribal communities under the UCC, the Chief Minister stated that they will be excluded from its scope. This approach aligns with the models implemented in Gujarat and Uttarakhand, which respect tribal traditions and special rights. Discussing initiatives for the tribal community, Yadav highlighted the grand celebration of the birth anniversary of Bhagat Birsa Munda and the continuous efforts by the Bharatiya Janata Party for the respect and upliftment of tribal society.
He noted that, for the first time, a tribal woman has been honored by being appointed to the highest constitutional position in the country. Today, we are rapidly advancing towards the comprehensive empowerment of the tribal community by integrating them into the mainstream of development. The pace of industrial development in the state is accelerating, with Yadav mentioning that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is reaching new heights in industrial growth. The PM Mitra Park being developed in Dhar serves as a strong example, where all plots have been allocated, and infrastructure development is progressing swiftly alongside industrial units.
Yadav also discussed the upcoming Kumbh Mela in the religious city of Ujjain, noting that it is the largest spiritual gathering in the world. Naturally, this poses significant responsibilities and challenges for the administration, as over 40 million devotees are expected to visit the city, which has a population of 800,000. Comprehensive preparations and management are being undertaken to ensure the convenience, safety, and smooth arrangements for the devotees.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remarked that yoga has held special significance in Vedic culture since ancient times. It is not just a means of health but also the foundation of a holistic life philosophy. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, yoga has gained global recognition and has become a powerful medium for connecting the world in health, balance, and unity.
