Mumbai, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Lisa Ray has taken a stroll down memory lane, sharing her fond recollections of the 1980s through an Instagram post. The actress reminisced about the music, fashion, and carefree lifestyle that defined the era. In her post, she shared an old photograph of herself dressed in a black outfit, complete with curly hair that evokes the spirit of the decade.
In the caption, Lisa expressed, “I truly lived through the 80s. According to the fashion of the time, I wore candy-colored leg warmers, sported quirky hairstyles, and embraced the sweatshirt style inspired by the film ‘Flashdance.’”
The music of the era also holds a special place in her memories. She recalled artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Michael Hutchence, saying, “These musicians are tied to my youth. I was such a big fan of Duran Duran that I even named my pets after them.”
Lisa reflected on her childhood and youthful days, reminiscing about biking around Kolkata during the summers and enjoying long weekends in Toronto. “I loved long drives and listening to loud music on the radio. Life back then had a unique sweetness. I was carefree, yet there was a restlessness within me to break boundaries and try new things,” she noted.
As she recalled her past, Lisa posed a question to herself: “Was I really an 80s girl? Strong, decisive, and resilient in the face of challenges? Over time, life has taught me so much. The unexpected changes and turns I didn’t choose have deepened my character.”
In closing, Lisa remarked, “My current self feels a need for that old 80s version of me. Perhaps I need to relive that era once more.”
