Mumbai, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Mujammil Ibrahim, known for his role as Avinash in the web series “Special Ops,” has expressed deep admiration for veteran actor Nana Patekar. In a recent interview, Ibrahim revealed how Patekar’s encouragement helped him gain confidence and showcase his talent as an actor.
Ibrahim described Patekar as not only a remarkable artist but also an exceptional human being. He stated, “You can learn a lot about acting from him. I had the pleasure of working with him on the film ‘Horn Ok Please,’ and it was a fantastic experience. Even now, when I call him, he treats me like a son. There’s no difference.”
When asked about the acting tips Patekar provided, Ibrahim mentioned that while he didn’t receive specific advice, Patekar’s presence alone gave him a significant boost of confidence.
The actor recalled how Patekar praised his performance after the release of the 2007 Hindi action thriller “Dhokha.” Ibrahim shared, “Nana said, ‘After Dhokha, you are being praised a lot. Even though the film wasn’t a blockbuster, your work is being recognized. I’m excited to work with you.'”
Reflecting on his time filming “Horn Ok Please,” Ibrahim noted the importance of timing in comedy. He enjoyed collaborating with a talented cast, including Satish Shah and Ali Asgar, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
In conclusion, Mujammil Ibrahim emphasized that this journey has refined his skills as an artist, actor, and comedian. He stated, “I discovered a different side of myself as an artist, and I thoroughly enjoyed that time.”
