Lucknow, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : A lawsuit has been filed against Mohammad Shami’s brothers, Mohammad Kaif and Mohammad Haseeb, at the Ashiyana police station in Lucknow. A divorced woman has accused Kaif of establishing a physical relationship under the pretense of marriage and Haseeb of issuing death threats.
The police have registered the case under sections 351 and 69 of the Indian Penal Code. According to the FIR, the woman claims she met Kaif through a mutual friend in 2020, leading to an increase in their meetings. In August 2023, Kaif allegedly proposed marriage to her.
The woman stated that she informed Kaif of her divorced status and that she has a son. He reportedly assured her that he had no objections to her past or her child. Trusting his words, she engaged in multiple physical relationships with him. However, when she brought up marriage, Kaif would swear on the Quran, promising that they would marry at the right time.
In her complaint, the woman also mentioned that Kaif promised to marry her after the IPL 2025 auction. She accused him of causing her to lose her job as well. After December passed without a marriage, she reached out to Haseeb but did not receive a satisfactory response.
Furthermore, she alleged that after a podcast she hosted, Kaif asked her to stop it, promising marriage once again, and they subsequently had another intimate encounter. The FIR states that Haseeb, through an associate named Badaruddin, summoned her to Amroha, where he allegedly threatened her life.
Following the woman’s complaint, the Lucknow police have initiated an investigation into the allegations against the Shami brothers.
