Indore, August 27: The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (M PCA) held its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday at the Brilliant Convention Center. The event recognized the outstanding performances of both male and female cricketers from the state. A total prize money of approximately ₹2.94 crore was distributed among the players. Former international cricketer Javagal Srinath and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia graced the occasion as chief guests. The ceremony honored senior players, junior cricketers, and coaches alike.
During the event, MPC A President Maharaj Aryaman Scindia stated, “Our annual awards are always a significant day for us, as we honor our players, former players, and administrative officials who have contributed to the sport. It is a big deal for them and for us. This platform allows us to recognize the teams that have worked hard, trained, and achieved victories throughout the year. Hence, this day holds immense importance for us.”
Former cricketer Javagal Srinath also attended the ceremony. He remarked, “First of all, congratulations to MPC A. They have done an excellent job; the last five years have been a remarkable phase. Every state experiences such a period. MPC A has managed it very well, reaching the knockout stages. They have won the Ranji Trophy. This is a foundation for many young players in Under-19 cricket. So, many good things are happening with MPC A.”
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia added, “We are honored to have Javagal Srinath among us. He is not just a pride of cricket but also of our nation. His career serves as an example for our players both on and off the field. His performance for the country is an inspiration for all of us. I take great pride in being part of the MPC A annual awards ceremony. The way our organization contributes to Indian cricket and how our stars are reaching new heights is commendable. Our Under-19 team, the boys’ team, and the senior women’s cricket team have all performed exceptionally well.”
