Lucknow, June 15: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a ‘Janata Darshan’ event at his official residence on Monday. During this event, he listened to the grievances of hundreds of petitioners from various districts and instructed relevant officials to take immediate and lawful action.
Maurya emphasized that the double-engine government, both at the center and state levels, is fully committed to the welfare of the most marginalized individuals. He stated that negligence in addressing public issues will not be tolerated at any level. Numerous complaints related to water supply, roads, drainage, police disputes, encroachments, and illegal constructions were raised during the event.
The Deputy Chief Minister ensured prompt action by contacting relevant officials directly during the event. Petitioners like Lajja Devi from Moradabad and Hiralal from Sitapur requested housing under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. In response, Maurya directed officials to verify eligibility and allocate housing promptly. Additionally, Priyanka from Ambedkarnagar sought financial assistance for her husband’s medical treatment, while Awadhesh Kumar from Balamu requested help for serious health issues.
Maurya prioritized these cases, instructing the health department and relevant officials to provide necessary financial support. Addressing the officials present, he urged them to consider themselves public servants. He stressed that listening to public grievances with sensitivity and resolving them in a timely manner is among the government’s top priorities.
Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, both the central and state governments are ensuring that the benefits of development schemes and welfare programs reach the last individual in society. He affirmed that the government stands with every citizen in their joys and sorrows, making every possible effort to assist those in need.
