Kannur, April 2: BJP National President Nitin Naveen has expressed that the people of Kerala are fed up with the Congress and the LDF-UDF alliance. He stated that Congress’s roots lie in appeasing Muslim sentiments, as they wear caps during prayers while ignoring local cultural attire.
Naveen emphasized that the Congress party is behaving in a similar manner. “I am confident that the people of Kerala are tired of the Congress and the LDF-UDF alliance. They are ready to punish them for their appeasement politics,” he remarked.
He further asserted that Kerala is fully prepared to move forward with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The people of Kerala now see the BJP as a genuine alternative. For too long, the LDF and UDF have neglected the needs of the people, obstructed development, fostered corruption, and prioritized their families over public welfare. This has also affected tourism. Now, the people of Kerala are ready to embrace new ideas and energy under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership,” he added.
Nitin Naveen criticized Rahul Gandhi for politicizing the Sabarimala issue. He stated that the real culprits behind the Sabarimala controversy are Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and the LDF and UDF governments. The BJP has promised to ensure a timely investigation by the CBI and to hold those responsible accountable.
Anup Antony, the NDA candidate from the Thiruvalla constituency, remarked that leaders like Rahul Gandhi often underestimate the intelligence of ordinary citizens and make baseless allegations, which people can easily see through. He noted that Rahul Gandhi’s political model ultimately benefits the BJP.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his happiness at being in Kochi, stating, “It is a pleasure to be on this land of Paravur, known for its rich traditions and hard work. This area is a hub of faith and culture, home to the Puttungal temple.”
