
Thiruvananthapuram, March 24: Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar paid homage to the great freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru on the occasion of ‘Shaheedi Diwas’. The ceremony took place at Lok Bhavan.
The Governor offered floral tributes and observed a minute of silence in memory of the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. Officials and staff from the Raj Bhavan also participated in the event, honoring the martyrs.
Every year, this day is commemorated to remember the sacrifices of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev.
Earlier, several prominent leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, paid their respects to the great revolutionaries. They recalled the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of these freedom fighters.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted on social media platform ‘X’ that Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru were pivotal figures in the Indian independence movement, inspiring the youth with both their thoughts and actions. Their valor instilled fear in the British regime.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed heartfelt remembrance on ‘X’, stating that on the martyrdom day of the immortal sacrifices of Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, these brave patriots set a unique example of courage, sacrifice, and love for the nation.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also shared on ‘X’ that the sacrifices of the immortal martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, who ignited the flame of revolution, represent a golden chapter in India’s history. Their courage, dedication, and spirit of nationalism will continue to inspire us for centuries to come.
