New Delhi, August 4: BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi criticized Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, for his protests against E-20 fuel. He accused the former Chief Minister of Delhi of making baseless allegations without any solid evidence.
Trivedi stated, “The former Chief Minister appeared with some supporters burdened by his failed political ambitions. As usual, he engaged in theatrics and irresponsible behavior while making unfounded claims.”
He questioned Kejriwal’s assertions and accused him of trying to create confusion among the public.
“Despite claiming to be an IIT graduate, he often speaks without presenting facts. Previously, during discussions about vaccines, he suggested that the formulas should be shared with everyone. Interestingly, he comes from a mechanical engineering background. All these points indicate that he is trying to create confusion rather than provide clarity,” Trivedi added.
He expressed hope that Kejriwal would provide more technical information about the impact of E-20 fuel, given his engineering background.
“I expected Kejriwal to discuss the technical aspects and potential effects. However, he has neither conducted any research nor presented data from automobile companies. Instead, he is unnecessarily stirring controversy. I believe he should refrain from spreading such misinformation,” the BJP MP stated.
Trivedi noted that many countries worldwide are using E-15 fuel, and similar fuel blends have already been in use here. It is strange that Kejriwal claims vehicles have been malfunctioning for the past four years, while the implementation of E-20 began less than four months ago.
BJP MP Tarun Chugh mocked Kejriwal, saying he should not wear Rahul Gandhi’s “Italian glasses.” Chugh remarked, “I want to tell Arvind Kejriwal to take off those glasses he is wearing.”
He claimed that every drop of ethanol is being taken from Indian farmers and accused Kejriwal of lying about their income. “I urge him not to oppose Indian farmers while wearing Rahul Gandhi’s glasses,” Chugh added.
Regarding the E-20 rollout, Chugh stated that Kejriwal is working with a confused mindset. “E-20 was not implemented overnight. Ethanol has been used as energy for decades and has gradually reached 20 percent. Many countries are already using it as fuel.”
He emphasized that E-20 is expected to channel approximately ₹1.75 lakh crore directly into Indian farmers’ accounts. This initiative benefits farmers, profits the market, and keeps the country’s money within its borders. “Arvind Kejriwal is operating with a bankrupt mindset. He keeps searching for different issues to revive his faltering political agenda,” Chugh concluded.
