New Delhi, February 18: The Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and the Netherlands arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday. They are set to participate in the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, which aims to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.
Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektanov, was welcomed at the airport by Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh.
Following their arrival, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated, “Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov’s visit and his participation in the India-AI Impact Summit will strengthen the partnership between our two nations.”
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte also arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday, greeted at the airport by Minister of State for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh.
The MEA added, “Prime Minister Rutte’s participation in the India-AI Impact Summit will further enhance India-Netherlands bilateral relations.”
Leaders, policymakers, and technology experts from around the world will discuss the upcoming changes driven by artificial intelligence in economic development, governance, and social progress.
The AI Impact Summit is regarded as one of the world’s major forums on artificial intelligence. Its objectives include strengthening global cooperation, promoting responsible and ethical AI, and increasing AI’s utilization in key economic sectors.
The five-day summit will see participation from over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, including presidents, prime ministers, or vice presidents from nearly 20 countries, along with around 45 ministers.
This summit is based on Indian values, with the guiding theme “Sarve Janah Sukhino Bhavantu” (Welfare for all, happiness for all).
The India-AI Impact Summit 2026 is the fourth edition of this series; previous summits were held in the United Kingdom in 2023, South Korea in 2024, and France in 2025. Unlike earlier global AI summits that focused on risks and regulations for developed nations, India’s conference emphasizes developmental outcomes. It showcases how AI can help address challenges faced by the Global South, such as access to healthcare, agricultural productivity, and language barriers.
