
Bengaluru, July 2: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth aspiring to work in the judiciary. The Karnataka High Court has officially announced the recruitment of 73 Assistant Court Secretary positions under the ‘Residual Parent Cadre,’ which includes 6 backlog vacancies.
Among the 73 positions, there are 15 unreserved, 22 for women, 21 for rural candidates, 3 for Kannada medium, 6 for persons with benchmark disabilities, 1 for displaced persons from projects, 4 for ex-servicemen, and 1 for transgender individuals.
The online application process for these vacancies commenced on July 1, with the deadline set for July 30. Candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms on the official Karnataka High Court website before or by the final date.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Business Management, Computer Applications, or Business Administration from a recognized university or equivalent examination. Additionally, they should have passed the Senior Grade or Proficiency Grade examination in English shorthand conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board or another recognized board, as well as the Senior Grade examination in English typing. Alternatively, a diploma in Commercial Practice/Secretarial Practice in English from the Board of Technical Examination or another recognized board is acceptable, along with knowledge of computer operations.
Selected candidates for the Assistant Court Secretary position at the Karnataka High Court will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400. The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, with a maximum age limit of 40 years. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹500 for the General and Other Backward Classes (Category II(A)/II(B)/III(A)/III(B)) and ₹250 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (Category I)/persons with benchmark disabilities.
