Kanika Maheshwari Raises Alarm Over Water Crisis in Mumbai

Mumbai, June 30: TV actress Kanika Maheshwari has expressed her concerns regarding the escalating water crisis in Mumbai. She stated that the shortage of water is an issue that disrupts people’s daily routines. Kanika urged the government to find a permanent solution to this pressing problem.

She remarked, “The lack of water affects every small and large task. When you wake up in the morning worrying about whether there will be enough water for cooking, cleaning, or daily hygiene, you realize how precious something like water truly is. We often discuss urban development and better facilities, but the most fundamental need for a dignified life is a regular supply of clean water.”

Kanika further explained, “The ongoing water scarcity forces people to alter their lifestyles. Where once people enjoyed long showers, now they have to bathe with a bucket to conserve water. Every liter must be used thoughtfully. You start keeping track of your water consumption beyond your needs. This issue affects thousands of families daily. Until one experiences this situation firsthand, it is difficult to understand the mental burden it imposes.”

She emphasized, “It is time to view water management as a long-term strategy. As cities continue to grow, the water supply must be strengthened accordingly. People should not be forced to adapt their lives every time there is a water shortage. A clean and regular water supply is not a luxury but a fundamental right for every family.”

Kanika concluded, “The habit of conserving water should not only arise during crises. We must prevent water wastage in our daily lives. Leaks should be fixed immediately, and water should be reused as much as possible. By adopting small precautions, if every individual understands their responsibility, we can collectively bring about significant change. Every drop saved today can secure tomorrow.”
