New Delhi, March 24: BJP MP Kamaljeet Sahrawat has accused former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of failing to deliver during his tenure. He stated that since the current government took office, they have been consistently working on various projects. “If the previous government had accomplished anything, our administration wouldn’t face such difficulties,” he remarked.
In an interview with a news agency, Sahrawat emphasized, “Now that the BJP is in power in Delhi as of 2025, our biggest challenge is the Delhi Jal Board. Not a single old pipeline has been repaired, and no effective measures have been taken.”
He criticized the government’s excise policies, suggesting they are designed for profit, even at the expense of public health. “Excise policies exist in almost every state, but in this case, the government has not benefited, and it was the ‘broom’ government that facilitated alcohol delivery to people’s homes,” he added.
Regarding the CAG report, Sahrawat mentioned, “Previously, we received a report on the ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ detailing the expenses and materials used. All essential components typically considered in government housing construction were meticulously evaluated, yet the Chief Minister’s wife showed excessive interest in the project.”
Sahrawat also highlighted that the Prime Minister has made his stance on women’s safety and empowerment clear. He noted that before making decisions on women’s empowerment, the government prepares women for these initiatives. Over the past decade, new policies have been implemented to promote women’s development, providing them with new opportunities. “Today, women are ready to take on roles on every platform,” he stated.
He concluded by acknowledging that while many have spoken about women’s empowerment, it was Prime Minister Modi who took the initiative to introduce the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam,’ fulfilling a promise made to the women of our country.
