Bihar Leaders Pay Tribute to Emperor Ashoka on His Birth Anniversary

Patna, March 26: On the birth anniversary of the great ruler, skilled administrator, and renowned promoter of Buddhism, Emperor Ashoka, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and several prominent leaders paid their respects.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took to the social media platform ‘X’ to express his tribute, stating, “On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great ruler Emperor Ashoka, I respectfully bow to him.”

Union Minister and leader of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), Jitan Ram Manjhi, also honored Emperor Ashoka on this significant day. In his post on ‘X’, he wrote, “On the birth anniversary of the great Emperor Ashoka, who illuminated time with the divine light of Dhamma and established the glorious saga of a united India in a vast consciousness, I bow to him countless times.”

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary shared his thoughts, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the great Emperor Ashoka, who laid the strong foundation of a united India and symbolized strength, good governance, religion, policy, and compassion, I bow to him countless times. His ideal life inspires us to move forward on the path of truth, non-violence, justice, and public welfare. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all countrymen on this glorious occasion.”

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also posted on ‘X’, saying, “On the birth anniversary of the great hero Ashoka Maurya, adorned with epithets like Priyadarshi and Devanampriya, I bow to him a hundred times. Wishing everyone heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Ashokashtami. May the ideals of Emperor Ashoka, peace, religion, and the spirit of public welfare always inspire us.”

Rajya Sabha MP and National President of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha, Upendra Kushwaha, remarked, “On the birth anniversary of the great Emperor Ashoka, a paragon of valor, love, compassion, welfare, and public equality, the creator of a vast united India, I bow to him countless times and offer humble tributes. Heartfelt congratulations and endless good wishes to all citizens of Bihar and the nation.”
