Missile Debris Falls in Abu Dhabi, Two Dead and Three Injured

Abu Dhabi, March 26: In a tragic incident in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, missile debris has fallen, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to three others. The Abu Dhabi Media Office shared this information on its official social media platform, X, on Thursday.

According to the post, the debris fell on Sweihan Street after a ballistic missile was successfully intercepted by the air defense system. The incident not only caused fatalities but also damaged several vehicles. Authorities have advised the public to rely solely on official sources for information, avoid spreading rumors, and await further updates.

The post did not disclose the nationalities of the victims or the origin of the missile launch. However, earlier, the UAE’s Ministry of Defense issued a statement urging citizens to remain vigilant. The post on X clarified that the UAE’s air defense system is responding to missile and drone attacks from Iran, emphasizing that the sounds heard in various parts of the country are the results of intercepting ballistic missiles and drones by fighter jets.

Since the onset of the conflict between the U.S. and Israel with Iran, approximately ten people have been killed in Iranian strikes within the UAE. On March 21, the UAE’s Ministry of Defense reported that eight people had died, including two military personnel and six civilians from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Palestine.

Following the joint military operations of the U.S. and Israel that began on February 28, Iran has swiftly targeted Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and particularly the UAE. Tehran has made it clear that it is attacking these nations due to the presence of U.S. military bases. Gulf countries have accused Iran of also attacking residential areas, which they deem unacceptable.
