New Delhi, July 2: The Panchang holds significant importance in Hinduism. It provides information not only about sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset but also about the auspicious and inauspicious timings throughout the day, along with the positions of celestial bodies. This is why people still consult the Panchang before undertaking any important tasks.
On July 3, 2026, several special alignments will occur. According to the Panchang, this day will mark the third date of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha, lasting until 11:20 AM, after which the fourth date will commence. The Shravan Nakshatra will be in effect until 11:46 AM, followed by the influence of the Dhanishta Nakshatra. In terms of Yogas, the Vishkumbh Yoga will last until 4:59 PM, after which the Preeti Yoga will begin.
Sunrise will occur at 5:49 AM, and sunset will be at 7:12 PM. Moonrise is expected at 9:47 PM, with moonset the following morning at 9:20 AM. The Moon will be in Capricorn on this day and will transition into Aquarius after 12:48 AM. Meanwhile, the Sun will be positioned in Gemini, affecting both the weather and energy levels.
Religiously, this day is significant as Friday is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Santoshimata. Worshipping them on this day is believed to yield special benefits. The Brahma Muhurat, considered the best time for meditation and prayers, will be from 4:13 AM to 5:01 AM. The Abhijit Muhurat, deemed extremely auspicious, will be from 12:04 PM to 12:57 PM. Additionally, the Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be favorable for auspicious activities from 5:49 AM to 11:46 AM due to the conjunction of the Shravan Nakshatra and Friday.
However, it is important to note that Rahukal, considered an inauspicious time, will be from 10:50 AM to 12:31 PM. Other inauspicious periods include Yamgand, Kulik, Durmuhurt, and Varjyam. It is advisable to avoid starting any new or significant tasks during these times.
