
Ranchi, June 1: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 611 positions, including Laboratory Assistants across various departments. Candidates can submit their applications until June 30.
The available positions include Assistant Entomologist, 2 Vector-Borne Disease positions, 4 Assistant Vector-Borne Disease Control Officers, 42 Inspectors for the Vector-Borne Disease Control Program, 228 Block Statistical Supervisors/Junior Statistical Assistants/Investigators, 72 Livestock Technical Officers, 78 Fisheries Extension Supervisors, 145 Accountants, 6 Junior Scientific Assistants at the State Drug Testing Laboratory in Namkum, Ranchi, and 34 Laboratory Assistants (Physics and Chemistry).
The online application process will commence on June 1, with the final date for submission set for June 30. Interested candidates should register on the official website once the application link is activated.
Additionally, the deadline for payment of application fees and uploading photographs/signatures is July 3. Candidates who make errors while filling out their application forms will have a correction window available from July 5 to July 10.
Applicants must possess a relevant graduation or post-graduation degree from a recognized institution or university. Candidates should also meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills related to the positions.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, while the maximum age is capped at 35 years, calculated as of August 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), preliminary examination, main examination (two stages), and document verification. Selected candidates can expect salaries ranging from ₹29,200 to ₹1,42,400 per month, depending on the position.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online. The fee is set at ₹100 for unreserved/EWS/OBC/other state candidates, and ₹50 for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates from Jharkhand. Additionally, candidates with disabilities (40% or more) from Jharkhand are exempt from the registration fee.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official JSSC website. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Then, register and log in. Fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. Finally, pay the registration fee and submit the form. It is advisable to print a copy of the application form for future reference.
