Jharkhand JPSC PCS 2026 Notification Released for 103 Posts

JPSC Civil Services 2026 Notification

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Civil Services Preliminary Competitive Examination 2025. Applications for 103 vacancies will be accepted online from January 31 to February 14, 2026, until 5 PM. Candidates from any field with a graduate degree can apply through the official website www.jpsc.gov.in. The application fee can be paid until February 16, 2026, by 5 PM.

According to the annual calendar of JPSC, the preliminary exam is likely to be held on March 8, 2026. The age limit cutoff date is August 1, 2026. Out of the 103 vacancies, 50 are unreserved, 26 for Scheduled Tribes, 7 for Scheduled Castes, 6 for Extremely Backward Classes, 8 for Backward Classes, and 6 for Economically Weaker Sections. Key posts include Deputy Collector (Sub-Collector), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and other administrative positions.

Age Limits

  • Extremely Backward Classes / Backward Classes: 37 years
  • Women (Unreserved, Extremely Backward, Backward Classes, EWS): 38 years
  • Scheduled Tribes / Scheduled Castes (both genders): 40 years
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 35 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years age relaxation in respective categories
  • Ex-servicemen: 5 years age relaxation in respective categories

The age calculation will be based on August 1, 2026.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university.

Selection will be through Preliminary, Mains, and Interview stages.

Mains Exam Qualifying Paper

A compulsory qualifying paper of 30 marks in Hindi or English will be held in the Mains exam. Candidates must secure at least 30 marks, which will not be counted towards the final total. Additionally, there will be five other papers totaling 950 marks. Successful candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, which carries 100 marks. Final results will be based on 950 marks from Mains and 100 marks from the interview.

Physical Standards for Certain Posts

  • Minimum height for Unreserved, Backward, and Extremely Backward Class males: 165 cm
  • Minimum height for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste males: 162 cm
  • Minimum height for Unreserved, Backward, and Extremely Backward Class females: 155 cm
  • Minimum height for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste females: 152 cm
  • Chest measurement for General and Backward males: Minimum 81 cm (without expansion)
  • Chest measurement for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste males: Minimum 79 cm (without expansion)

  • Preliminary Examination: March 8, 2026
