
Tehran, June 24: In light of the current situation in Iran, the Indian Embassy has issued a new advisory for its citizens. Despite recent improvements, Indian nationals are advised to avoid traveling to Iran.
The advisory was shared by the Indian Embassy in Tehran on the social media platform ‘X’ on Wednesday. It stated, “The Indian Embassy is closely monitoring the current security situation in Iran. Considering the recent positive developments and the overall improvement, the Embassy is issuing this revised advisory for Indian citizens planning to travel to Iran.”
The advisory emphasized, “Despite recent improvements, Indian citizens are advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Iran until further notice.”
It further noted, “Indian nationals currently residing in Iran, as well as those who may need to travel for essential work, are advised to exercise extreme caution, remain vigilant at all times, and keep a close watch on the situation. They are also encouraged to monitor local developments from reliable sources and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.”
The Indian Embassy urged all Indian citizens in Iran and those planning to visit to register their information with the Embassy in Tehran as soon as possible. They are also advised to regularly check the Embassy’s official website and social media platforms for updates and any further advisories.
