Javed Jaffrey Responds to Don 3 Controversy, Supports Ranveer Singh

Mumbai, June 8: The controversy surrounding the Bollywood film ‘Don 3’ continues to spark discussions within the industry. Recently, actor Javed Jaffrey shared his thoughts on the matter, expressing support for Ranveer Singh while denying any insider knowledge of the controversy.

In a conversation, Jaffrey stated, “I am not aware of this controversy. I am neither Ranveer Singh’s secretary nor a producer or director, so I do not have any internal information about it.”

Despite this, he praised Ranveer Singh’s work, saying, “Ranveer does great work and is my friend. I believe that whatever the issue is, it will be resolved soon.”

Jaffrey’s comments come at a time when the ‘Don 3’ controversy is intensifying, with various industry figures sharing their opinions.

Previously, several artists have voiced their support for Singh. Actress Padmini Kolhapure expressed her backing, stating, “CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association) is proud to have Ranveer Singh as a member. Whenever he needs us, we stand by him. This has already been made public, so I do not wish to comment further. We are always there for him.”

In contrast, Kangana Ranaut offered a different perspective on the controversy, remarking, “As your stature increases, so do your enemies. It is impossible for your status to rise without facing opposition. Ranveer Singh should understand his position and why he has so many adversaries.”

The entire situation stems from the film ‘Don 3,’ which was announced in 2023 by producer Farhan Akhtar. Ranveer Singh was set to play the lead role, and the film was anticipated as the next installment in the popular Don franchise. However, reports later emerged that Singh had distanced himself from the project, igniting the controversy that has now reached various organizations. The makers claimed that significant expenses had already been incurred for shooting and pre-production, leading to a potential loss of crores due to the sudden change. Consequently, FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh.
