Janhvi Kapoor Discusses Honesty in Cinema at Peddy Event

Mumbai, May 30: At an event in Mumbai for the upcoming film ‘Peddy’, actress Janhvi Kapoor shared her thoughts on the film industry, audiences, and South cinema. She emphasized that a film’s success relies on its honesty, hard work, and good intentions.

Janhvi stated, “When a film is made with complete honesty and effort, it definitely reaches its audience. People tend to judge quickly, but ultimately, we create films for the entertainment of viewers. We work for them, so their feelings and opinions cannot be ignored. For me, the audience is like God, and we strive to serve them.”

Reflecting on her experiences in South Indian films, Janhvi expressed her enjoyment of working in Telugu cinema. However, she humorously mentioned that she might not attempt acting in Malayalam, as she finds the language quite challenging.

She remarked, “Malayalam is a beautiful and lovely language, but it is very difficult for me. I feel somewhat familiar with Tamil and Telugu, which is why I enjoy working in Telugu films so much. In the future, I would also like to work in Tamil films.”

During the event, Janhvi also highlighted the popularity of actor Ram Charan. She noted that during her recent trip to America, she frequently heard his name mentioned.

“I just returned from America, and there, people recognize Ram Charan as a symbol of Indian identity. Even at immigration, I was asked if I was an actress from India, and they immediately said—Ram Charan!”
