ISRO-ISTRAC Recruitment: Opportunity for 95 Apprentice Positions, Know the Application Requirements

Bengaluru, July 15: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced an exciting opportunity for aspiring candidates. The Telemetry, Tracking, and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru has released an official notification for the recruitment of 95 Graduate, Diploma, and Trade Apprentices for the year 2026-2027. Interested candidates must apply by July 31, as the deadline is approaching.

The 95 vacancies include 62 positions for Graduate Apprentice Trainees, 25 for Diploma Apprentice Trainees, and 8 for Trade IT positions. The training locations for these apprenticeships are set in Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Sri Vijaya Puram.

For the Graduate Apprentice Trainee positions, the breakdown is as follows: 23 from Computer Science Engineering and related fields, 28 from Electronics and Communication Engineering and related fields, 3 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related fields, 4 from Mechanical Engineering and related fields, 1 from Civil Engineering, 1 from B.Sc. (CS/IT), and 2 from Library Science.

Regarding the Diploma Apprentice Trainee positions, there are 3 from Mechanical Engineering and related fields, 3 from Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related fields, 6 from Electronics and Communication Engineering and related fields, 1 from Civil Engineering and related fields, 7 from Computer Science Engineering and related fields, and 5 from Commercial Practice.

For the Trade IT positions, the 8 roles include 4 for Electronics Mechanics, 1 for Machinist, 1 for Electrical, 1 for IT-TSM, and 1 for Fitter.

The online application process began on June 22 and will close on July 31. Eligible candidates are advised to upload all required documents to the official email ID provided in the notification by the deadline. Candidates must register on the NATs portal before applying.

Applicants for the Graduate Apprentice Trainee positions should hold a BE or B.Tech degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution or university. For Diploma Apprentice Trainee positions, a diploma in engineering from a recognized state board is required, and for Trade IT positions, an ITI certificate in the relevant field from a recognized university or institution is necessary.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application review, shortlisting, document verification/interview, final merit list, and medical fitness. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹9,600 for Trade IT, ₹10,900 for Diploma Apprentice Trainees, and ₹12,300 for Graduate Apprentice Trainees per month.

Interviews will take place in Lucknow on August 27 and 28 at ‘ISTRAC, Lucknow Sector-G, Janakipuram, Kursi Road, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – 226021′. In Sri Vijaya Puram, interviews are scheduled for September 3 and 4 at ‘ISTRAC, Sri Vijaya Puram Dollyganj, Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands PIN code: 744103’. In Bengaluru, interviews will be held on September 9 and 11 at ‘ISTRAC, Bengaluru Plot 12 and 13, Third Main, Second Stage, Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru- 560058’. Candidates are required to report to the interview centers by 8:30 AM.

All candidates attending the interviews are advised to arrive on time and bring all relevant documents in original and photocopy.
