
New Delhi, August 9: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through its dedicated recruitment body, the ISRO Centralized Recruitment Board (ICRB), has announced 244 vacancies across various centers related to ISRO. This includes positions in the Department of Space (DoS) and its autonomous bodies. The deadline for applications is fast approaching, with August 16 set as the final date.
Among the total vacancies, there are 113 for Assistants, 81 for Junior Personal Assistants, 22 for Upper Division Clerks, 10 for Stenographers, 17 for Assistants in autonomous institutions under DoS, and 1 for Junior Personal Assistant in the same category. The recruitment spans several locations, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hassan, Hyderabad, Mahendragiri, New Delhi, Sriharikota, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The online application process began on July 27 and will close on August 16. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their registration forms on the official ISRO website before the deadline.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree with at least 60% marks from a recognized institution, a diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice, and one year of experience as a Steno-Typist/Stenographer. Proficiency in computer usage and a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute in English stenography are also required.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 28 years, calculated as of the application deadline. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government regulations.
Selection will be based on a written examination, skill test, merit list, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a starting salary of ₹25,500 per month, according to Level 4 of the pay matrix, along with additional benefits and allowances.
Candidates must pay the specified application fee online, which is ₹500 for Assistant/Upper Division Clerk (ISRO and autonomous bodies)/Junior Personal Assistant/Stenographer positions, and ₹1,000 for combined applications for Assistant/Upper Division Clerk and Junior Personal Assistant/Stenographer. Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempt from the registration fee.
