Beijing, March 13: iReader has officially launched its latest flagship E-Ink reader, the Neo 3 Ultra, in China. Priced at 1,499 yuan (approximately $220), this device aims to deliver enhanced performance and an upgraded reading experience.
The Neo 3 Ultra boasts a 4:3 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1072 x 1448. It features a nano-level anti-glare etched surface that minimizes reflections, making it easier to read in bright conditions.
Equipped with an octa-core processor and a dedicated GPU, the Neo 3 Ultra offers double the performance of its predecessors. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, along with a GPU Turbo 5.0 engine for improved graphics, quicker page turns, and smoother navigation.
This model introduces iDisplay Ultra Refresh technology, which reduces ghosting and flickering on the E-Ink display while ensuring low power consumption. Additionally, it utilizes iClean 2.0 AI technology to selectively refresh parts of the screen, enhancing visual clarity.
The device features a ComfortLight Pro+ front-lighting system with 30 brightness levels and adjustable color temperature. This system ensures uniform illumination across the screen and minimizes eye strain through DC dimming.
In terms of battery life, the Neo 3 Ultra is equipped with a 2000mAh battery, offering up to 53 hours of reading time or 18 days on standby. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for seamless wireless connectivity. The USB-C port facilitates both charging and data transfer.
Running on SmartOS 3.4, the reader supports multitasking, gesture controls, and customizable app organization. It is compatible with various file formats, including EPUB, PDF, and MP3, and weighs just 150 grams with a thickness of 7.5mm.
In related news, AOC launched the 10W1D tablet last year, featuring a 10-inch E-Ink display, Wacom stylus support, and a suite of smart tools designed for reading, studying, and note-taking.
