(Udaipur Kiran News): The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate a special religious tourism train, the “Puri–Gangasagar–Ayodhya Dham Yatra”, starting October 4 from Udaipur. Over 12 days, the train will cover nine major pilgrimage sites, offering devotees a rare opportunity to visit multiple holy destinations in a single journey.

The train will also pick up passengers from Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Jaipur, and Sawai Madhopur before heading east.

Categories & Pricing

To suit different budgets, IRCTC has divided the package into three categories:

  • Economy: ₹24,560 (Non-AC train, Non-AC stay, Non-AC buses)

  • Standard: ₹34,500 (AC train, Non-AC stay, Non-AC buses)

  • Comfort: ₹45,275 (AC train, AC stay, AC buses)

All packages include confirmed train berths, accommodation, meals, local transport, temple visits, and travel insurance. Government and PSU employees can also avail Leave Travel Concession (LTC) benefits under Finance Ministry guidelines.

Key Destinations

The itinerary features some of India’s most important religious and cultural sites:

  • Puri Jagannath Temple and Konark Sun Temple

  • Gangasagar pilgrimage near Kolkata and Kalighat Temple

  • Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar)

  • Mahabodhi Temple (Gaya) and Vishnupad Temple

  • Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Vishalakshi Temple, Annapurna Temple, and Ganga Aarti in Varanasi

  • Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya

The journey will conclude back in Udaipur on October 15.

Onboard Facilities

The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is equipped with modern kitchen cars, bio-toilets, and upgraded coaches for passenger comfort. Accommodation and transport arrangements at halts will be based on the chosen package category.

According to IRCTC officials, the train offers a “unique opportunity” as visiting all these sacred places together would otherwise be nearly impossible in one trip.
