Abu Dhabi, March 8: Four individuals have lost their lives due to Iranian attacks in the United Arab Emirates. According to the UAE’s Ministry of Defense, the deceased include citizens from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
The Ministry stated that Iran initiated retaliatory actions against neighboring countries following attacks from the United States and Israel. During these hostilities, four foreign nationals were killed in the UAE.
So far, the UAE has faced a barrage of 238 ballistic missiles, 1,422 drones, and 8 cruise missiles. Of these, 1,342 were intercepted, while 80 drones fell within the country’s territory. On Sunday, the nation detected 17 ballistic missiles and 117 drones, intercepting 16 missiles and 113 drones, with one missile and four drones landing in the sea.
The Ministry confirmed that the fatalities included individuals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Additionally, 112 people from various nationalities, including Emiratis, Egyptians, Sudanese, Ethiopians, Filipinos, and others, sustained minor or partial injuries.
The Ministry has assured that they are on high alert to address any threats and are fully prepared. They emphasized their commitment to confronting any challenges that could undermine the nation’s security, sovereignty, and stability, while safeguarding national interests and capabilities.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for missile strikes on military bases in Israel’s Tel Aviv and Beersheba. The organization also stated that several attacks have targeted a U.S. airbase in Jordan.
The IRGC further asserted that the Muwaffaq Al-Salti airbase in Jordan was targeted, describing it as the largest and most active offensive base for U.S. fighter jets.
