Tejashwi Yadavs Remarks on Bihar Spark Controversy, Says Rajesh Verma

Patna, April 2: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Rajesh Verma has responded sharply to statements made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Verma criticized Yadav for making disparaging remarks about Bihar while visiting Kerala, similar to how Rahul Gandhi speaks against the country when abroad.

Verma stated that it is evident how people from Bihar are treated in other states. As the Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav’s comments in Kerala about the people of Bihar reflect a lack of love for his home state. He emphasized that the electorate had rejected Yadav in the Bihar Assembly elections, leading to his resentment and derogatory remarks about Bihar and its residents in pursuit of votes in Kerala.

Regarding the increased security for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Verma welcomed the decision, noting that Kumar has served Bihar for two decades and has liberated it from lawlessness.

On Tejashwi Yadav’s comments about Kumar’s resignation from the Legislative Council, Verma remarked that Yadav has a history of making nonsensical statements. He asserted that no one can pressure Nitish Kumar, as politics within the NDA is based on mutual respect. The decision for Kumar to enter the Rajya Sabha was made by him alone, and Verma expressed respect for that choice.

Concerning the recent incident in Nalanda, Verma called for a thorough investigation into the stampede, stating that accountability is essential. He supports a comprehensive inquiry and insists that strict action should be taken against anyone found guilty.
