Lucknow, April 2: A shocking incident has emerged from the Mohammadabad area of Farrukhabad, where the body of a 14-year-old girl was discovered in a sack, dumped in the Kali River. The police recovered the body based on the information provided by the accused.
According to reports, Ajay Kumar Pal, a resident of Sirouli village in the Nawabganj area, filed a complaint on March 30 against three individuals from the same village: Kuldeep, son of Vedram, Rohit, son of Pradeep, and a minor. The complaint stated that on the night of March 28/29, the accused allegedly mixed a narcotic substance in milk, rendering the family unconscious, and abducted their 14-year-old daughter. They also stole jewelry, including two pairs of earrings, a pair of tops, a gold chain, a pair of anklets, and approximately 50,000 rupees in cash.
During the investigation, police located the girl’s body about 20 meters from the riverbank near the cremation site in Kumhuli, following the lead provided by the accused. The discovery of the body sent shockwaves through the community. Upon receiving the news, Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh, along with other officials, arrived at the scene to inspect the area.
A forensic team collected essential evidence at the site. The police stated that a thorough investigation is underway, and legal action is being taken against the accused. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and further actions will be determined based on the report.
Family members, including the victim’s mother, Sushma Devi, and father, Ajay Kumar Pal, were devastated at the scene. The victim was the eldest among three sisters and one brother. Family members have alleged that the police did not take their initial complaint seriously. However, the police are now actively pursuing the case.
Regarding the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh mentioned that on March 30, a person reported that his minor daughter had been lured away by a local boy along with his accomplices. An immediate case was registered, and teams were deployed to locate the girl. During intense questioning, the named juvenile revealed that the girl had come to him on the night of March 28/29, insisting she would not return home and wanted to stay with him. Disturbed by this, the accused, along with another accomplice named Vivek Pal, allegedly murdered her and buried the body in a field that night.
The following day, they placed the body in a sack and concealed it by the Kali River in Kumhuli. The girl’s body was recovered on Thursday based on the accused’s directions.
