Iranian Media Reports Attack on Energy Infrastructure, Khorramshahr Governor Confirms Pipeline Targeted

Tehran, March 24: Iranian media has reported that on Tuesday, two gas plants and a pipeline were targeted. According to Fars News Agency, this incident occurred following U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments about not attacking power infrastructure.

Fars News Agency stated, “Under continuous attacks from Israeli and American adversaries, the gas administration building and gas pressure regulation station on Kaveh Street in Isfahan were hit.”

Fars, the only news outlet in Iran reporting “minor damage” to the facility in central Iran, also mentioned that a gas pipeline at the Khorramshahr power plant in the southwest of the country was targeted in the attack.

Citing the governor of the city near the Iraqi border, Fars reported, “A projectile fell in the area outside the Khorramshahr gas pipeline processing station.”

The governor confirmed that the attack on the gas pipeline of Iran’s Khorramshahr power plant did not disrupt operations nor cause any damage.

On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed in Truth Post that his administration is working to reduce tensions in the Middle East. He stated that positive and constructive dialogue with Iran is ongoing, leading him to instruct that no attacks on Iran’s energy plants should occur for five days.

However, Iran responded swiftly, asserting that it will not back down in the current conflict. It clearly stated that hostilities will continue until compensation for the damages incurred is provided.

Mohsen Rajei, a senior military advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei, emphasized that Iran’s conditions are clear: all economic sanctions must be lifted, and the U.S. must provide solid guarantees against future interference in Iran.
