New Delhi, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Iranian President Masoud Pagehshkian announced that the government has implemented new measures to address the country’s unique challenges. He stated that attempts to exert economic pressure on Iran have not succeeded in achieving their objectives.
In a post on the social media platform X, Pagehshkian acknowledged the increasing economic strain on the nation. However, he emphasized that due to the support of the Iranian people and proactive government actions, adversaries have failed to realize their aims, which he termed an “economic war.”
“The government has adopted a new framework to tackle these specific conditions,” Pagehshkian wrote. He noted that in recent months, the enemy’s strategy has been to disrupt essential services in Iran to exert pressure on its citizens. While economic challenges have intensified, he expressed confidence that divine support, public cooperation, and government initiatives have thwarted the enemy’s plans in this economic conflict.
This statement comes at a time when tensions related to ongoing conflicts are high, and economic pressures on Iran are mounting.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump remarked that the conflict with Iran would “end very soon.” He claimed that once the hostilities cease, oil prices would sharply decline. Trump characterized Iran as being under significant military and economic strain.
Speaking to reporters after arriving in Texas and during a tour of a Peterbilt Motors factory in Denton, Trump asserted that Iran must decide how to conclude the conflict. He stated, “This situation with Iran is going to end soon one way or another. They are facing inflation at 301 percent. They lack funds, their currency is in disarray. Their military has been defeated, their navy is gone, their air force is finished; everything is in ruins.”
He concluded, “Somehow, this will end very soon. And when it does, oil prices will drop rapidly.”
