Kolkata, May 24: In the 70th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the Delhi Capitals (DC) have set a formidable target of 204 runs against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday. Both teams are out of the playoff race but are eager to conclude their IPL 2026 campaigns with a win in this final league match.

Batting first after losing the toss at Eden Gardens, DC scored 203 runs while losing 5 wickets in their allotted overs. The team lost its first wicket in just 4.3 overs.

Abhishek scored 22 runs off 18 balls, hitting 4 boundaries before getting out. Following his dismissal, Sahil Parakh partnered with KL Rahul to add 47 runs for the second wicket in 30 balls, bringing the score to 87.

Sahil contributed 24 runs off 17 balls, including 1 six and 3 fours, before returning to the pavilion. Captain Axar Patel then took charge, adding 38 runs with KL Rahul for the third wicket in just 19 balls, pushing the score to 125.

KL Rahul returned to the pavilion after scoring 60 runs off 30 balls, featuring 4 sixes and 5 fours. He and David Miller (28) formed a partnership of 41 runs for the fourth wicket in 25 balls, helping the team reach a substantial score.

The duo of Ashutosh Sharma and David Miller added 35 runs for the fifth wicket in 17 balls. Miller scored 28 runs off 19 balls with 3 sixes, while Ashutosh remained unbeaten with 18 runs off 11 balls. From the opposition, Saurabh Dubey claimed the most wickets with 2, while Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakravarthy each took 1 wicket.

The playing eleven for Kolkata Knight Riders included Ajinkya Rahane (captain), Manish Pandey, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, Rinku Singh, Tejaswi Dahiya (wicketkeeper), Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine, Saurabh Dubey, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kartik Tyagi.
