Indigo Flight from Lucknow to Delhi Halted Due to Bomb Threat Hoax

New Delhi, June 12: An Indigo flight traveling from Lucknow to Delhi was halted on Friday after a bomb threat was discovered written on tissue paper in one of the aircraft’s restrooms. Following this alarming incident, security agencies at the airport promptly initiated a thorough investigation.

The flight, carrying approximately 180 passengers, was scheduled to depart from Lucknow at 10:45 AM. Just as preparations for takeoff were underway, crew members were alerted to a potential security threat on board.

The aircraft was immediately stopped on the apron and was not allowed to take off. Security agencies began emergency procedures as per established protocols.

The situation arose when a piece of tissue paper in the restroom was found with the word “bomb” written on it.

Upon receiving this information, airport security personnel and other agencies launched an extensive search of the aircraft and its surrounding area.

Later, officials confirmed that it was merely a false alarm. No explosives or suspicious items were found during the security checks.

An Indigo spokesperson released a statement indicating that a security-related notification was received shortly before the flight 6E 2111 was set to take off from Lucknow to Delhi on June 12.
