Ujjain, May 26: Ganga Dussehra was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, the Indian Navy Band delivered a captivating performance at Ram Ghat. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the Shipra Tirth Parikrama at Ram Ghat in Ujjain on Tuesday.
The Indian Navy Band, which traveled from Mumbai, provided an enchanting musical experience at Ram Ghat. Chief Minister Yadav noted that the celebrations for Ganga Dussehra were vibrant throughout the state. The band’s performance delighted attendees, creating a memorable evening for the citizens present at Ram Ghat.
The two-day pilgrimage dedicated to the holy river Shipra concluded on Tuesday, attracting thousands of devotees. Chief Minister Yadav also performed rituals and offered a ceremonial scarf to the river.
He highlighted the significant efforts being made across the state under the Water Ganga Conservation Campaign. Initiatives for water conservation are ongoing at major ponds, wells, stepwells, and river sources with community participation. To date, over 200,000 projects have been completed, placing Madhya Pradesh at the forefront of water conservation efforts in the country.
Prominent attendees included Rajya Sabha member Mahant Umesh Nath Maharaj, MLA Anil Jain Kaluhera, MLA Jitendra Pandya, Ujjain Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Naveen Solanki, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Kalavati Yadav, District President Jagdish Agarwal, Rural District President Rajesh Dhakad, and Scheduled Caste Commission member Ramlal Malviya, among many other officials and devotees.
