Indian Cricket Team Announced for ODI and T20 Series Against West Indies

New Delhi, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the Indian cricket team for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) and T20 series against West Indies. Notably, Ruturaj Gaikwad makes his return to the ODI squad, while Naman Dheer earns his first call-up to the national team.

Aaqib Nabi has also been included in the ODI lineup for the first time. The team will be led by Shubman Gill, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retained in the squad. KL Rahul has been appointed as the vice-captain. The ODI team also features Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Ravindra Jadeja, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal.

In the 50-over format, the pace attack will be spearheaded by Mohammed Siraj, supported by Aaqib Nabi, Prasidh Krishna, and Gurnoor Barar. Notably, Arshdeep Singh has not been included in the ODI squad but will be part of the T20 team. Jasprit Bumrah is absent from both formats.

Shreyas Iyer will captain the T20 side, which includes Prince Yadav and Mayank Yadav. Arshdeep Singh will lead the pace attack in T20 matches. Washington Sundar is also part of the T20 team. The ODI series kicks off on September 27, with subsequent matches scheduled for September 30 and October 3. The T20 series begins on October 6, concluding on October 17.

Additionally, the BCCI has announced the Rest of India squad, which will face Ranji champions Jammu and Kashmir. Rishabh Pant will captain this team, with Sarfaraz Khan serving as vice-captain.

The Indian ODI squad against West Indies includes: Shubman Gill (captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul (vice-captain), Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Barar, Mohammed Siraj, Aaqib Nabi, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

The Indian T20 squad against West Indies features: Shreyas Iyer (captain), Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Tilak Varma (vice-captain), Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, and Mayank Yadav.

The Rest of India squad includes: Rishabh Pant (captain), Sanat Sangwan, Shikhar Mohan, Sudip Gharami, Sarfaraz Khan (vice-captain), Smaran Ravichandran, Manav Suthar, Saransh Jain, Aakash Deep, Mukesh Kumar, Mukesh Chaudhary, Aryan Juyal (wicketkeeper), Aryan Pandey, Anukul Roy, and Ayush Doseja.
