Indian Ambassador Amit Narang Meets Slovenian Foreign Minister to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

Ljubljana, July 2: Indian Ambassador Amit Narang met with Slovenia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tone Kajzer. They discussed several key issues regarding ongoing cooperation and mutual relations between India and Slovenia.

The Indian Embassy in Ljubljana shared on the social media platform ‘X’, “Ambassador Amit Narang had the honor of meeting Minister Tone Kajzer at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. He also delivered a congratulatory message from Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar to the minister.”

The embassy stated, “The meeting involved a fruitful and comprehensive discussion on concrete steps to further enhance the warm and friendly relations that already exist between the two countries, aiming for a strong and mutually beneficial partnership in the future.”

Last month, Secretary (West) in the Indian government, Ambassador Siby George, represented India at Slovenia’s National Day celebration held at the Slovenian Embassy in New Delhi.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) wrote on ‘X’, “Secretary (West) Ambassador Siby George represented India at Slovenia’s National Day celebration. He reiterated India’s commitment to strengthening the long-standing relationship with Slovenia and enhancing cooperation in new areas of mutual interest. He also appreciated Slovenia’s continued support in India’s fight against cross-border terrorism.”

Earlier last month, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar congratulated Tone Kajzer on his appointment as Slovenia’s Foreign Minister and expressed a desire to work together.

He wrote on ‘X’, “Heartfelt congratulations to Tone Kajzer on his appointment as Slovenia’s Foreign Minister. I look forward to working with him.”

In May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Janez Janša on being elected as Slovenia’s Prime Minister, expressing his willingness to collaborate in strengthening the ties between the two nations.
