CMHO Recruitment 2026: Apply Now for 38 Positions Including Nursing Officer

Raipur, August 28: A significant opportunity has emerged for individuals in the medical field. The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) office in Balodabazar, Chhattisgarh, has issued an official notification inviting applications for various positions under the National Health Mission (NHM) and the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM). A total of 38 positions, including Nursing Officer, are available for eligible candidates.

The vacancies include 1 Block Program Manager, 2 Male MO-Ayush, 2 Female MO-Ayush, 11 Community Health Officers (CHO), 1 Nursing Officer (NHM), 4 Staff Nurses, 1 Pharmacist, 1 Laboratory Technician, 1 Physiotherapist, 1 ANM, 1 Dental Assistant, 1 Counselor, 1 Feeding Demonstrator, 1 Attendant-NRC, 1 Cook cum Caretaker, 2 Nursing Officers-UHWC, 2 MPW (Male)-UHWC, 2 Junior Secretarial Assistants (LDC)-UHWC, and 2 Class-IV-UHWC positions.

The offline application process commenced on August 20 and will close on September 7. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions should complete their registration process by 5:30 PM on the final date.

Applicants must possess qualifications relevant to the respective positions, including an 8th, 10th, or 12th-grade diploma from a recognized board/institution/university, along with a one-year diploma, B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with GNM course completion, and registration with the Chhattisgarh Nursing Registration Council. Other qualifications may include a B.Sc. in Home Science, Psychology/Counseling/Health Education/Mass Communication/Social Science with a PG degree/diploma, a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT), or a degree/diploma in Pharmacy with at least 50% marks, among others.

The minimum age for applicants ranges from 18 to 21 years, while the maximum age limit is set between 35 and 70 years, calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application scrutiny, written tests, merit lists, document verification, and interviews. Selected candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹8,800 to ₹26,000, along with additional benefits and allowances.
