India to Showcase Space Innovations at Global Event in France

New Delhi, May 10: India is set to showcase its innovations and space technology on a global stage. Under the initiative of the Ministry of Education, research from Indian IITs, universities, and other institutions will be presented in France. Here, Indian startups will connect with global investors, space agencies, and technology partners.

India Innovates 2026 is acting as a global accelerator, linking over 100 deep-tech startups and leading institutions with international partners across 13 cutting-edge sectors. According to the Ministry of Education, Indian higher education institutions are evolving beyond traditional education. They are emerging as powerful centers for innovation, entrepreneurship, and advanced technology research.

From research laboratories to research centers and startup support hubs, the country’s universities are guiding the rapidly growing startup ecosystem. To bring this vision to a global platform, the Ministry of Education is organizing India Innovates 2026. This initiative aims to create a significant platform connecting startups, researchers, and young innovators from Indian higher education institutions with investors, industries, universities, and innovation partners worldwide.

The Ministry states that this initiative advances the visionary goals of the National Education Policy 2020. It emphasizes innovation-based education, multidisciplinary research, and strong collaboration between industry and educational institutions. The government believes that India’s young innovators are now developing solutions not just for the country’s needs but for the entire world.

The Ministry of Education has announced that Dhruv Space, India’s leading space technology company, will also participate in India Innovates 2026. Based in Hyderabad, this company is among India’s first private space technology firms, providing complete space engineering solutions. It operates in areas such as satellite platforms, solar panels, and launch services, catering to both civil and defense sectors. The company has supplied space-grade solar panels to the Indian government.

On the international front, Dhruv Space has also exported to countries like the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Australia, and France. This demonstrates the global potential and reliability of ‘Made in India’ space technology. According to the Ministry of Education, Dhruv Space has raised over $21 million through various funding rounds and is rapidly expanding.

The company is working on developing a synthetic aperture radar-based satellite constellation by the end of 2026. This system will provide high-quality Earth monitoring and imaging capabilities around the clock, usable for strategic and defense purposes.

The Ministry of Education has stated that through India Innovates 2026, India will showcase its innovation and space technology capabilities on a global platform. The event will take place from June 14 to 16, 2026, in Nice, France, where Indian startups will connect with global investors, space agencies, and technology partners.
