Patna, September 2: JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar Singh has addressed several pressing issues, including terrorism, Uttar Pradesh politics, GDP growth, SIR, examination reforms in Bihar, and threats received by Union Minister Chirag Paswan. He stated that India has consistently taken a strong stance against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, with the nation’s military and citizens providing an effective response.
Referring to the SCO meeting, Neeraj Kumar emphasized that India’s position is not new. He highlighted that India has taken action against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, making it clear to the world that terrorism is a curse for humanity. Questioning Pakistan’s political and democratic system, he noted that India plays a significant role among developing nations and in the Non-Aligned Movement. He warned that if Pakistan attempts to challenge India, its political future may face greater crises.
Regarding the AI video released by Akhilesh Yadav, Neeraj Kumar criticized its portrayal of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as offensive. He deemed it an insult to the Nath tradition and expressed concern over the use of such material in electoral politics. He urged the Election Commission to take the matter seriously if political parties or their supporters resort to AI-generated videos during elections, as it reflects artificial political propaganda.
On the potential alliance between the Samajwadi Party and Congress in Uttar Pradesh, Neeraj Kumar likened it to boarding a sinking ship. He praised the Yogi government’s tenure for controlling crime and riots, asserting that the people of Uttar Pradesh prioritize development and law and order, which could lead to the NDA forming the government.
Commenting on India’s 7.8% GDP growth, Neeraj Kumar stated that development should be viewed not just through statistics but also through changes in manufacturing and infrastructure. He cited major infrastructure projects like the Kosi Mahasetu, Atal Setu, and JP Ganga Path in Bihar, arguing that they transform living conditions and economic prospects. He remarked that Rahul Gandhi‘s political status remains unchanged despite economic growth, which seems to trouble him.
In response to Rahul Gandhi’s questions regarding SIR, Neeraj Kumar called for action on the same issue in Congress-ruled states. He suggested that if Congress objects to the process, it should demand answers from its own governments. He accused the opposition in Bihar of having a double standard regarding EVMs and SIR.
Regarding the NEET student protest and the Supreme Court’s order to dismiss the FIR, Neeraj Kumar affirmed that youth have the right to employment and transparent recruitment. He stressed that it is the government’s responsibility to create job opportunities and maintain transparency in the recruitment process. While acknowledging that protests are a democratic right, he insisted they should be controlled and rational. He welcomed the decision to form an examination reform committee in Bihar, emphasizing that repeated changes in exam patterns and incidents of paper leaks are concerning for students and parents. The committee’s recommendations will be crucial for the future of Bihar’s students and parents.
In response to questions about TRE-4, Neeraj Kumar targeted the RJD, recalling that questions had also been raised about previous teacher recruitment exams. He claimed that the then Education Minister did not sign the file. He assured that changes are being made to the examination process and that the government is committed to conducting transparent recruitment.
Concerning the threats received by Chirag Paswan, Neeraj Kumar stated that although the threats were sent anonymously, the Bihar police are capable of reaching the perpetrators.
