Chasing just 124 runs for victory in the fourth innings, India collapsed for 93, handing the visitors a memorable win. Captain Shubman Gill did not bat in the second innings due to a neck injury.

South Africa, who chose to bat first, were bowled out for 159 in their opening innings. Aiden Markram scored 31, while Wiaan Mulder and Tony de Zorzi contributed 24 each.
For India, Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets, supported by Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up two each.

India managed only 189 runs in their first innings. KL Rahul top-scored with 39, and Washington Sundar added 29.
For the visitors, Simon Harmer claimed four wickets, and Marco Jansen took three.

India held a slim 30-run lead before South Africa’s second innings. Captain Temba Bavuma played a composed unbeaten 55 off 136 balls, but received little support from the other end.
Ravindra Jadeja took four wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav and Siraj picked up two each.

Ahead of Day 3, the BCCI confirmed that Gill would take no further part in the match due to injury. This forced KL Rahul to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal, but the combination failed. Jaiswal was dismissed for zero, and Rahul followed soon after for one.

Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel tried to steady the innings with a 32-run stand, but the partnership dissolved quickly, triggering another collapse.
Axar Patel offered brief hope, scoring 26 off 17 balls with two sixes and a four, but India fell short.

For South Africa, Harmer again led the attack with four wickets, while Jansen and Keshav Maharaj took two each, and Markram picked up one.
