Kolar, February 17: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated on Tuesday that the collaboration between India and France is limitless, emphasizing that their mutually beneficial partnership knows no bounds.

He affirmed that India and France are reliable strategic partners.

Singh highlighted a significant achievement in the India-France partnership when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron unveiled the final assembly line for H125 helicopters through digital means. He congratulated the teams from Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus Helicopters for this initiative, which reflects their commitment to enhancing high-level manufacturing collaboration.

The Minister noted that the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives have been at the core of India’s economic policy since 2014. Under these initiatives, India is dedicated to achieving self-reliance in critical technologies and high-level manufacturing through mutually beneficial partnerships.

He mentioned that for over a decade, India has accelerated industrial growth through large-scale infrastructure projects, significant capital investments in key sectors, and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, while also providing liberalized arrangements to encourage investment.

Singh further stated that the government has focused on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and strengthening the startup ecosystem. The aim is to foster industrial development that meets both domestic and international needs.

He also pointed out that India’s defense exports have seen remarkable growth, positioning the country among the top exporters globally. This growth has supported over 16,000 MSMEs and ancillary sectors.
