Patna, April 8: Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal has expressed his views on various issues related to international and domestic politics, highlighting India’s commitment to peace, electoral transparency, and the achievements of the central government.
In an interview with a news agency, Jaiswal stated, “India has always been a proponent of peace and dialogue. This ceasefire will help reduce escalating global tensions and control the economic and social crises arising in Western countries. The impact of war is felt worldwide, so any steps that bring stability and relief should be welcomed.”
He emphasized that the ongoing conflict has caused widespread distress, and now, with peace and dialogue, it will be beneficial for all nations involved.
Regarding the West Bengal elections, Jaiswal dismissed allegations of casteism linked to over 9 million voters as completely unfounded. He asserted that the list released by the Election Commission was prepared through a transparent process and had been verified by the country’s highest judicial authority before its release.
He noted that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lacks accurate information or evidence on this matter. “This is not new; she has made similar statements multiple times. The public will respond in due course,” he added.
Additionally, he made pointed remarks about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting he should reflect on the decisions made by his ancestors—Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi—and understand their impact on the nation.
On state politics, Jaiswal mentioned that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will complete the Rajya Sabha oath process, and Bihar’s upcoming strategy will be determined after the NDA meeting in Delhi. He criticized opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav for attempting to create confusion regarding issues like liquor prohibition and crime.
