
New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the India A squad for the upcoming multi-day and one-day matches against Australia A. Devdutt Padikkal will lead the team for the multi-day fixtures, while Ruturaj Gaikwad has been appointed captain for the one-day matches.
Hardik Pandya is included in the one-day squad but must pass a fitness test to participate. The series will commence on September 22, featuring two multi-day matches and three one-day games.
Sai Sudharsan returns to the multi-day squad after missing the Test series against Sri Lanka due to injury. Aman Mokhade and Ayush Pandey are also part of the team. Kumar Kushagra, who excelled in the Duleep Trophy representing the East Zone, has earned a spot as well.
Yash Rathod has secured a place in the squad, alongside Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotiyan, who will also compete in the multi-day matches. The pace attack will be led by Tushar Deshpande, Anshul Kamboj, and Praful Hingne, who impressed with his bowling in IPL 2026. N Jagadeesan will take on the wicketkeeping duties in the multi-day games.
In the one-day format, Devdutt Padikkal has been named vice-captain. Sai Sudharsan joins Priyansh Arya in the one-day squad. The middle order will be managed by Rajat Patidar, Kumar Kushagra, and Naman Dhir. Fans are eager to see a strong performance from Prabhsimran Singh, who is in great form. The second multi-day match is scheduled for September 29, while the one-day series kicks off on October 6, with subsequent matches on October 9 and October 11.
