Ranchi, August 5: The ongoing student protests in Jharkhand regarding alleged irregularities in the JPPSC and JSSC recruitment exams have gained support from Bollywood actor Imran Khan. The actor took to social media to highlight the students’ plight and urged the public not to overlook their voices. In a post shared on his Instagram story, Imran Khan drew attention to the demonstrations taking place in Jharkhand.
He wrote, “Students are protesting in Jharkhand. Let’s all ignore them, what could go wrong?” This post is being interpreted as a show of support for the students. Previously, several artists and social activists have also voiced their support for the students’ demands.
In fact, students have been protesting for several days in Ranchi against alleged paper leaks and irregularities in the JPPSC and JSSC recruitment exams. A large number of students are staging a sit-in at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi. Their primary demand is the cancellation of the controversial exams and a fair investigation into the paper leak incidents, with strict action against those responsible.
Students argue that the recurring irregularities in recruitment exams are jeopardizing their futures, and they urge the government to take concrete steps. This movement has been organized similarly to the protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. During the protests, students have conducted various events, including torch rallies and peaceful demonstrations.
The student movement is receiving support from several social organizations. Groups like the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) have backed the students’ demands. Additionally, students from various states across the country are also showing solidarity. In response to the situation, Chief Minister Hemant Soren stated that the government is aware of the students’ concerns and will ensure that no injustice occurs. An investigation is underway, and clarity on the situation will be provided soon.
Meanwhile, the opposition is also targeting the government over this issue. Opposition leaders have accused the government of irregularities in the recruitment process and are demanding accountability.
