New Delhi, August 17: A significant opportunity is on the horizon for those aspiring to work in a prestigious educational institution. The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has officially announced direct recruitment for various teaching positions (Group-A) on a regular basis, inviting applications for a total of 36 vacancies.
Among these positions, there are 10 for Professors, 14 for Associate Professors, and 12 for Assistant Professors. The breakdown for the Professor roles includes 1 in Architecture and Planning (Architecture), 1 in Architecture and Planning (M Plan), 1 in Applied Sciences and Humanities (English), 2 in Computer Science and Engineering, 1 in Electronics and Communication Engineering, 3 in Information Technology, and 1 in Mechanical Automation Engineering.
For the Associate Professor roles, the 14 vacancies consist of 1 in Architecture and Planning (Architecture), 2 in Architecture and Planning (M Plan), 1 in Applied Sciences and Humanities (Mathematics), 4 in Computer Science and Engineering, 1 in Electronics and Communication Engineering, 4 in Information Technology, and 1 in Mechanical and Automation Engineering. The 12 Assistant Professor positions include 1 in Architecture and Planning (Architecture), 1 in Applied Sciences and Humanities (Chemistry), 1 in Computer Science and Engineering, 1 in Electronics and Communication Engineering, 6 in Information Technology, and 2 in Mechanical and Automation Engineering.
The online application process commenced on July 22 and will close on August 21. Interested candidates who have not yet applied can complete their registration on the official IGDTUW website before the deadline. After successfully submitting the online application, candidates must send a hard copy of their application along with all relevant documents to the Registrar, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi-110006, by post before 4:30 PM on August 28.
Candidates applying for these positions must hold a Ph.D. degree in the relevant branch from a recognized institution or university for the Professor role, along with a first-class Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. They should also have a minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry, with at least 3 years at the level of Associate Professor. Additionally, candidates must have at least 6 research publications in SCI journals/UGC-approved journals and have supervised or co-supervised at least 2 successful Ph.D. candidates.
For the Associate Professor position, candidates need a Ph.D. in the relevant field and a first-class Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry, including at least 2 years post-Ph.D. experience. For the Assistant Professor role, candidates must have a first-class degree in BE/BTech/BS and ME/MTech/MS or an integrated MTech in the relevant branch.
The maximum age limit for applicants ranges from 35 to 55 years, depending on the position, calculated as of the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application screening, academic and research performance, a written exam (if necessary), and other criteria. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from ₹57,700 to ₹2,18,200, along with additional benefits and allowances.
Applicants must pay the prescribed application fee online while filling out the form, which is set at ₹1,000 for Unreserved (UR) candidates and ₹800 for OBC (NCL)/EWS/female candidates. Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempt from the registration fee.
