Iconic Track Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Returns in Cocktail 2 with Shahid, Rashmika, and Kritis Dance

Mumbai, June 17: In Bollywood, certain songs remain etched in the hearts of fans long after their release. One such beloved track is “Tum Hi Ho Bandhu” from the film ‘Cocktail.’ This iconic song continues to be popular among music lovers. Now, it is set to make a comeback in a fresh rendition through ‘Cocktail 2.’

This new version will feature a completely revamped musical touch and modern sound. The filmmakers emphasize that reimagining an old song is a significant responsibility, as it is tied to people’s emotions, and any changes must be approached with care.

On this occasion, actor Shahid Kapoor shared a sneak peek of the song on his Instagram. The video showcases Shahid, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon dancing energetically to the track.

In his post, Shahid wrote, “The film ‘Cocktail 2’ is set to release on June 19, and we are incredibly excited about it.”

The original version of this song was composed by renowned music director Pritam Chakraborty, with lyrics penned by famous lyricist Irshad Kamil. It was sung by Kavita Seth and Neeraj Shridhar and is known for its energy, fun, and themes of friendship.

The new version has been produced by music creator Abhijeet Vaghani, who aimed to adapt the song to contemporary musical styles to appeal to today’s youth while preserving the nostalgia for older fans.

Abhijeet Vaghani stated, “Recreating such a popular and cherished song is no easy task. Its timeless charm is its greatest strength, which people still resonate with today. Therefore, we had to be particularly careful while recreating it. Our goal was to maintain the old magic of the song while adding new musical textures and a modern touch to make it even more appealing to current audiences. This new version will blend both old and new musical elements.”

Previously, the makers of ‘Cocktail 2’ released several other songs, including “Tujhko,” “Vallah,” “Mashooka,” and “Jab Talak,” all of which received a positive response from audiences and generated buzz around the film.

The film is set to hit theaters on June 19.
